Colonial Burmese Banquet

Dine with Kyi has teamed up with No. 178 New Cross and presents Colonial Burmese Banquet – a contemporary 5 course Anglo-Burmese Tasting Banquet, plus a colonial cocktail on arrival!!! No. 178 New Cross is a social enterprise cafe-bar specialising locally brewed beers and Dine with Kyi have carefully selected a couple of local beers to match the tasting menu.  In addition the cocktail on arrival will the infamous Pegu Club, a gin-based cocktail that was the signature drink of Burma’s Pegu Club in the colonial days.

In keeping with the Burmese banquet theme, there will be a communal table to encourage guests to share a meal and conversation, and to make new friends.

There will be a bar selling wine, beers and soft drinks which are not included in the ticket price.  Credit cards will be accepted on the day for drinks purchases.

The summer is finally here! Dine with Kyi has teamed up with Well Street Kitchen and presents Burmese Street Kitchen – a contemporary summer picnic and nibbles menu with of course Burmese flavours.

In keeping with Burmese culture, communal tables will encourage guests to share a meal and conversation, and to make new friends.

Burma Underground celebrates Thingyan!

 

To celebrate Thingyan (Burmese New Year Water Festival), Dine with Kyi has teamed up with World in London to host a celebration not to be missed.
Also thank you to Basement Galley for allowing this event to happen.

Burma Underground will be celebrating in style with a delicious 5 course tasting menu of traditional Burmese food, music, performances and, of course, a water fight for those who wish to partake and get splash happy! There will also be a fully stocked bar serving soft drinks, beers and specially designed cocktails using South East Asia flavours to match each dish. In keeping with Burmese culture, communal tables will encourage guests to share a meal and conversation, and to make new friends.
